Macbook Touch

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

Is apple getting ready again to shake the word, with iPhone will there be a Macbook touch, will we be free from the keyboards, mouse and will only interact with our computers using the touch screens, will it be accessible for all computer users.

Well the Rumor has started picking up, ‘Mac Daily News‘ reports Apples Secret Product Macbook Touch and Gizmodo says it too ‘Rumor:MacBook Touch coming in Oct‘.

Think MacBook screen, possibly a bit smaller, in glass with iPhone-like, but fuller-featured Multi-Touch. Gesture library. Full Mac OS X. This is why they bought P.A. Semi. Possibly with Immersion’s haptic tech. Slot-loading Super Drive. Accelerometer. GPS. Pretty expensive to produce initially, but sold at “low” price that will reduce margins. Apple wants to move these babies. And move they will. This is some sick shit. App Store-compatible, able to run Mac apps, too. By October at the latest. In all honesty, we may have passed this story up, but we’ve heard vague reports from reliable sources that Quanta is busy building a touch product for Apple. This latest information seems seems to compliment what we’ve heard

Google to Crawl Flash Websites

Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008

Google in a recent development have announced that it has attained the ability to crawl websites made in flash. Previously Adobe presented Google & Yahoo with there SWF libraries so as both the companies could work on it to develop technology that could help there search engines to show results from flash based websites.

Flash or SWF was a glory of its time and gained tremendous attention from user end, it changed the face of the web by giving freedom to develop websites full of interactive media. But the only flaw in the system came to life when search engines were unable to crawl content within a flash website thus causing lack of traffic for website owners.

With this new development of Google being able to crawl thought a flash site new dimension and a new scope for flash based website is about to rise.

According to Google:

Google has been developing a new algorithm for indexing textual content in Flash files of all kinds, from Flash menus, buttons and banners, to self-contained Flash websites. Recently, we’ve improved the performance of this Flash indexing algorithm by integrating Adobe’s Flash Player technology.

  • Googlebot does not execute some types of JavaScript. So if your web page loads a Flash file via JavaScript, Google may not be aware of that Flash file, in which case it will not be indexed.
  • We currently do not attach content from external resources that are loaded by your Flash files. If your Flash file loads an HTML file, an XML file, another SWF file, etc., Google will separately index that resource, but it will not yet be considered to be part of the content in your Flash file.
  • While we are able to index Flash in almost all of the languages found on the web, currently there are difficulties with Flash content written in bidirectional languages. Until this is fixed, we will be unable to index Hebrew language or Arabic language content from Flash files.

Too many passwords are quite difficult to remeber though if you do but still who wants to type the same user name / password every day so generally a good way is to ask Firefox to save the passwords. But what to do if you really need to know what password you save would you prefer going throught the long password recovery process by all websites or you need some help in there.

Well here is the catch nodoubt its easy to recover passwords but its unsafe as well so firstly. So lets how unsafe they can be. To see which passwords you have saved into Firefox simply go to :
Tools >> options >> security >> Show Password
There you will find the URL’s and usernames of all the sites who’s password you have saved in Firefox now to reveal the password simply click on “Show Passwords” and firefox will show you all the passwords. This is good way of recovering your passwords but very unsecure as well as any one using your computer can easily steal all your passwords and you can’t do anything thing about it. But there is a way.. (more…)

Aperture 2 Released by Apple

Tuesday, February 12th, 2008

Apple Inc. Today announced the release of Aperture 2 an apple version of photo management / editing software. As innovative as Apple is Aperture claims to be next generation software specifically made for photo editing and management. Some of the key featuers of Aperture are :

  • Auto Image Management Tool, just plug-in the memory card and let it manage the images for your by adding tags, meta tags, copyright & caption. You can even add rating to your images, store them at specific locations with the Auto Image Management tools in Aperture. Aperture keeps track of every photo. Organize photos logically in projects, folders, albums, and Smart Albums. If you are photographer who deals with 100’s and 1000’s of pictures every day this is the essential app to manage your photos. I know how imp is rating and tags it quite annoying to search for images when you don’t have them organized.
  • After creating a library in Aperture you can review you images side by side, search by keywords, zoom and rest of the standard features
  • Aperture has an image adjustment tool build into it just like the rest could not find something extraordinary into it.
  • Exporting Images to flickr, publish to Mac Gallery, Create a book for print and order, or you can print with a 16bit printing.

So far apart from the Auto Image Management Tool rest seems quite same old, and cost to the product $199.00 for a new purchase or $99 for an update to the previous one. Keeping that in mind I think I will still stick with the Picasa which is free to use ….
