Sony Ericsson “XPERIA 1″ the first business phone by Sony Ericsson which uses the Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system, the phone is ready to hit the market and expected to be released by the end of october. Verizon Wireless today announce Blackberry Storm, a phone with touch screen and is being called an iPhone competitor.

BASKING RIDGE, NJ, NEWBURY, England, and WATERLOO, Ontario — Verizon Wireless, Vodafone Group (NYSE and LSE: VOD) and Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ: RIMM; TSX: RIM) today announced that the BlackBerry® Storm™ will be available later this fall, exclusively to Verizon Wireless customers in the U.S. and Vodafone customers in Europe, India, Australia and New Zealand.

As we covered previously after iPhone HTC Diamond was expected to the iPhone competitor but now Nokia has also stepped up and it has been confirmed that this October Nokia will be launching its first touchscreen cell phone named “Nokia 5800 XpressMusic” code named “Tube”.

The touchScreen technology is becoming very common in cell phones and the consumer demand for the technology has also increase massively. Within the last 2 weeks we have seen three new touchscreen phones announced first it was HTC Diamond then Google G1 and now Nokia 5800.

T-Mobile releases the worlds first Android powered phone called T-Mobile G1, G1 seems like the Google 1. The phone is available for $179 with a two year contract from T-Mobile. For Europe the sales will begin in November & early 2009.
