If you unlocked your iPhone and then upgraded its software to iPhone 1.11 you iPhone would be blocked/bricked by Apple. This feature was Added by Apple to fight the unlocking of iPhone. But the new upgrade by Apple iPhone 1.13 will unblock/unbrick you iPhone and bring it back to life.

To fix your unlocked damaged iPhone from 1.11 upgrade follow the easy steps below:

  1. Put the iPhone in recovery mode
  2. Connect to iTunes and restore/upgrade the iPhone
  3. Put your AT&T sim back in and activate the phone using iTunes
  4. Restart you iPhone and bingo your iPhone will start working.

So far this is the good news but as the CEO of Apple Computer Steve Jobs commented during a Q&A seesion in UK on Sep 19th regarding unlocking of iPhones that “It’s a constant cat and mouse game, we try to stay ahead, People will try to break in and its our job to stop them breaking in”. So now the next game would be who will unlock the iPhone upgraded with 1.1.3.
