Hp Laptop with 24-hour battery for all day long

Posted by zee on September 10th, 2008

Hewlett-Packard announced a break thought in laptop battery,  a battery that would last 24-hours, means travelers can take more then 10 trips on the Euro-star between London & Paris and don’t need to recharge their laptop. Hp said it was an “unprecedented milestone in mobile computing”.

The new ultra-capacity battery to deliver all day computing can be configured with the new HP Elite Book 6930p a business laptop with 14.1 inch display. The newly designed 4.7-pound notebook meets the military standard MIL-STD 810F for vibration, dust, humidity, altitude, and high temperature. It has a shock-resistant hard drive and spill-resistant keyboard, as well as brushed anodized-aluminum exterior combined with a magnesium alloy chassis. HP says the EliteBook provides an “all-day battery life”. But the 24-hour figure can be reached only by purchasing the ultra-capacity battery and upgrading the base model of the 6930p to include the Illumi-Lite display and 80 gigabyte version of the SSD.

The company says in addition to preserving battery life, tests have also shown that the new Intel SSD boosts overall performance by up to 57%, and data transfer rates are almost six times faster than traditional hard drives.
