Google Celebrating its birthday with a time line

Posted by Carol on September 25th, 2008

Google happens to become a trendsetter for the industry, in the past i never heard Microsoft or even Apple celebrating there birthday, neither did Yahoo made any such attempts but when we come to Google there is always some fun things going around.

I am not sure the exact date but September is when they celebrate and this year they did it with there tenth anniversary special page, a page with some facts & figures on Google and link to the time line showing milestones, culture & products launched by Google and when. Seems a nice way.

With this Google also launched a new project named ‘Project 10 to the 100“.

What is Project 10 to the 100?
At Google, we don’t believe we have the answers, but we do believe the answers are out there. Maybe in a lab, or a company, or a university — but maybe not.

Maybe the answer that helps somebody is in your head, in something you’ve observed, some notion that you’ve been fiddling with, some small connection you’ve noticed, some old thing you have seen with new eyes.

If you have an idea that you believe would help somebody, we want to hear about it. We’re looking for ideas that help as many people as possible, in any way, and we’re committing the funding to launch them. You can submit your ideas and help vote on ideas from others. Final idea selections will be made by an advisory board.
