Macbook Touch

Posted by zee on July 22nd, 2008 Comment »

Is apple getting ready again to shake the word, with iPhone will there be a Macbook touch, will we be free from the keyboards, mouse and will only interact with our computers using the touch screens, will it be accessible for all computer users.

Well the Rumor has started picking up, ‘Mac Daily News‘ reports Apples Secret Product Macbook Touch and Gizmodo says it too ‘Rumor:MacBook Touch coming in Oct‘.

Think MacBook screen, possibly a bit smaller, in glass with iPhone-like, but fuller-featured Multi-Touch. Gesture library. Full Mac OS X. This is why they bought P.A. Semi. Possibly with Immersion’s haptic tech. Slot-loading Super Drive. Accelerometer. GPS. Pretty expensive to produce initially, but sold at “low” price that will reduce margins. Apple wants to move these babies. And move they will. This is some sick shit. App Store-compatible, able to run Mac apps, too. By October at the latest. In all honesty, we may have passed this story up, but we’ve heard vague reports from reliable sources that Quanta is busy building a touch product for Apple. This latest information seems seems to compliment what we’ve heard

Should you buy a MacBook Pro or MacBook Air

Posted by zee on February 26th, 2008 Comment »

Apple Launched MacBook Pro Review
The macBook Pro model features the latest Intel Core 2 duo processor running upto 2.6Ghx with a 6MB of L2 cache.  The latest processor launched by intel on that performance is  t9500, t9300 , t8300 .

With addition to the processor Apple also updated the graphic processors to the latest NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT with 512MB of video memory. Apart from the specs update apple has also introduced the multi touch gesture previously released in MacBook Air. You can pinch, swipe, or rotate by simply moving your fingers.

How much it costs ?

  • 15″  – 2.4Ghz = $1 999.0
  • 15″ – 2.5Ghz = $2499.00
  • 17″ – 2.5Ghz = $2799.00

Should you buy a MacBook Pro  or MacBook Air
MacBook Air is the worlds thinnest Notebook, we agree, its light and is very sleek one of the innovation that attracted allot was it had a multi touch gesture and was total wireless i.e. no ROM etc.  The MacBook Air the worlds thinnest PC is a 1.6Ghz or 1.8Ghz processor with a 13″ screen and costs around $1799.00 to $3098.00 means its slow, its just wireless and its way to expensive and buying it for the sake of its sleekness is ……………………..

On the other hand the multi touch features one of the only usefull feature in MacBook Air is not available in the new MacBook Pro. The pro is packed with really fast processor, supper fast and supper powerful then the MacBook Air and costs $1 999.0 for a 13″ display as compared to  MacBook Air starting at $1799.00 so for an added $100 you can get a MacBook Pro definitely not the worlds thinnest Notebook but the worlds fastest Notebook.

Aperture 2 Released by Apple

Posted by zee on February 12th, 2008 Comment »

Apple Inc. Today announced the release of Aperture 2 an apple version of photo management / editing software. As innovative as Apple is Aperture claims to be next generation software specifically made for photo editing and management. Some of the key featuers of Aperture are :

  • Auto Image Management Tool, just plug-in the memory card and let it manage the images for your by adding tags, meta tags, copyright & caption. You can even add rating to your images, store them at specific locations with the Auto Image Management tools in Aperture. Aperture keeps track of every photo. Organize photos logically in projects, folders, albums, and Smart Albums. If you are photographer who deals with 100′s and 1000′s of pictures every day this is the essential app to manage your photos. I know how imp is rating and tags it quite annoying to search for images when you don’t have them organized.
  • After creating a library in Aperture you can review you images side by side, search by keywords, zoom and rest of the standard features
  • Aperture has an image adjustment tool build into it just like the rest could not find something extraordinary into it.
  • Exporting Images to flickr, publish to Mac Gallery, Create a book for print and order, or you can print with a 16bit printing.

So far apart from the Auto Image Management Tool rest seems quite same old, and cost to the product $199.00 for a new purchase or $99 for an update to the previous one. Keeping that in mind I think I will still stick with the Picasa which is free to use ….
