Now this is concerning element, according to BBC the computer system at the Large Hadron Collider was hacked by a group calling itself the “Greek Security Team”.

A spokesman for Cern, the lab that houses the LHC, said the hackers put up a message on the facility’s website. No harm was done but the incident has highlighted the need for security in the LHC’s network, the spokesman said. The hackers had targeted the computer network of the Compact Muon Solenoid Experiment (CMS), a huge detector that analyses data from the particle accelerator.

Experiments using the underground Large Hadron Collider, or LHC, the biggest and most complex machine ever made, could revamp modern physics and unlock secrets about the universe and its origins.

What exactly is the big bang experiment

The big bang experiment is an attempt to look for a fine particle called Higgs Boson. The particle Higgs Boson or BEH Mechanism (sometimes called as “God Particle”), is a hypothetical massive scalar elementary particle predicted to exist by the standard model of particle physics but have not yet been observed. According to certain theories Higgs Boson was the element used in creation of Earth.
