Thanks to adobe air applications now you can watch videos from hulu right on your desktop. No need to open up a browser and go to the hulu site at all.

To get this thing working you need two thing one is Adobe Air Platform and second is the MyMediaPlayer an adobe air application which you can download from here. Paul Yanez has created this program that aims to bring hulu to our desktops. My Media player is designed to act as Hulu portal, where it lists categorized list of Tv shows & movies available from hulu.

Apart from bringing hulu videos to our desktop My Media Player do have some great features like:

Hulu who’s focus is to provide worlds most premium content online. A company founded in March 2007 with a join venture with NBC universal & News Corp. They have signed up with more then 50 broadcasting companies like FOX, NBC, MGM, Sony Pictures, Warner Brothers … to provide full length episodes of most famous and most favorite Television shows, which could be The Simpson’s, Family Guy, The Usual Suspects. Apart from that Hulu have also started publishing full length featured films like ‘The 40 year old version’, Devil Wears Prada and many more. With so much content and of good quality Hulu is still free to use but the only catch is there content is locked for regions meaning if you are outside USA you might not be able to see these shows as Hulu is protecting its content for copyright violation.

2- Joost.

Joost is yet another great online Tv broadcasting web. Unlike Hulu joost’s content is viewable with the help of its own software which is in its beta phase, but you can download install on a windows / mac and start watching the Joost shows. Just like hulu Joost’s content also have geographical limitation, meaning shows broad casted in USA can only be watched within USA.

Joost claims to have more then 20 000 shows online, with more added on daily bases. Apart from that Joost has a great picture quality better then Hulu in some cases.

3- Maniatv

Maniatv, launched way back in 2004 claims to be the world’s first Interent television network. The company produces, sells and distributes content made for internet for an age range of 18-34. Unlike Hulu & Joost Maniatv publishes & creates its own content with help of its own or partnered production teams. The content produced by Maniatv is only for online publication so far and claims to have more then 8million viewers every month. There programs range from music, comedy, drama or action sports. Maintv idea is innovative and quite aggressive in a sense that they are the first online television station.

One issue at there end the do lack a bit in picture quality.

4-Joox

Joox provides tv / moview / documentaries which it has collected from stage6 which has been closed down.
Joox has a very good collection of really new english moview, the streaming speed is good though the picture qualit is okai. Apart from that Joox also provides movies, music videos from bolloywood & foreign filims as well.

One issue from joox is its live as they they dont host the movies on there own so there content keeps on changing depending upon the availability from diffrent sources they use.

Recently Hulu have all also annouced that they have trippled there library since there beta launch, Hulu have also signed up Sony Pictures Television and added more TV shows like:

So far i have been enjoying Hulu alot, no need to keep track what time my favorite Show plays on TV, no need to worry about the shows i miss all i do is log on to Hulu and catch up with my favorite shows at any time i want.

Hulu offers current primetime shows like The Office, Prison Break, Bionic Woman, House and Bones, and episodes from TV classics like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Miami Vice, Arrested Development , Family Guy, Simpsons and more(trust me they got it all) . In simple terms all the favourit shows on which we spend rediculous amount of money in buying DVD’s are now available on Hulu.com and you can watch it for free of cost. (I am enjoying the Family Guy’s 6th Season thanks Hulu)

The Issue of Hulu Access across the world ?
Hulu provides content directly from the network’s so the content is copyright protected and for legal reasons they have restricted its access around the globe, if a Family Guys Episodes is aired on Tv in USA it should only be accessible to the internet users from USA. They check this via our IP address.

Bi-pass Hulu Restrictions and Watch Hulu outside USA ?
So far there are two solution to bi-pass restriction to watch Hulu :

1.
