1- MorganFile

MorganFile was created in 1996 and contains a huge collection of creative photography of high resolution that can be used freely in your commercial & non commercial projects. All the images are free and you can use them on your commercial projects as well even without the permission or credit to the photographers. You can also contribute to the community by registering and then submitting your photographs to the site. So far the images are quite creative and are of high resolution i.e. 300 dpi and 3000px and above. You dont even need to register to download the pictures. Loved the site a great resource in deed.

Stock Exchange has been around for a while and is one of the biggest free online stock images with more then 350 000 quality stock photos by more then 30 000 photographers. Either you need a wallpaper or illustration or even print quality photos for your next design project then stock-xchange is one of the best free resource to look around. Launched in February 2001 stock xchange has now more then 1500 000 registered users & more then 350 000 high resolution quality stock images. Majority of the photographs at stock exchange are on a 300dpi setting with a resolution going above 1200 by 1000.

To get hold of the images, download and use them on your commercial projects you need to sign in / register at stock xchange which is free and once you sign up you can download photographs, comment on them, get in touch with the photographer. The site do have a very good search facility along with categorized listing of photographs that make the job much easier as well. Freerange is another place where you can find high quality stock photos for commercial and non-commercial use. For free. Freerange is an advertising revenue supported photographic community - photographers get paid when users click on the ads that appear next to their submissions.Images provided directly (in-house) by Freerange Stock originate one of two ways. They are either digitally photographed on Canon DSLR cameras or they are a high resolution (4000 dpi) Nikon scan of an original 35mm slide. Once the image is acquired, the photo is sharpened, color corrected, cropped and keyworded. Some images are manipulated in Photoshop to make them more effective. Then the original is archived and a 2400×1600 version is optimized and output, then posted on the live site.
