Have you started to tweet this year? Did you answer the question “What are you doing?” well if you answer is yes then we got a huge list of tools and applications to spice up your twit activity. If you are already a twitter fan then you can use the tools to spice up your twitter actives.

We all know one thing when the twitter came to life we all rejected it but soon we got so much into twitting that now we made their server go “over capacity” couple of times a day.

So now lets get back to the list of twitter tools and widgets that can help and improve your twitter activities and make you twit more.

Twitter From your Mobile Phone
Twitter on cellphone is life saver, well ofcourse we all have cellphone which have internet access so what if Twitter does not offer its update service to your network or you dont want to twitt using you text messages you can always use your internet connection for twitt updates and internet is much cheaper then the text messages so here are bunch of application that you can simply install in you cell phone and enjoy you way to twitter.

  1. Fring > Works with,  Windows Mobile,  iPhone, Symbian and can be used for all your Skype, MSN Messenger, Google Talk and regular phone contacts, but also with your Twitter friends  as it works with Wi-fi so you can save on your sms and use your data plan for it.
  2. Jtwitter > Works with Java based Phones >> Twitt updates and managements
  3. TwitterBerry > Works with  Blackberry only > Applicable for Twitter Updates
  4. TreoTwit > Works with Palm OS Treo and Palm OS PDA > Twitt from Treo
  5. Twibble > Works with Nokia N95 > Also shows up Twittervision and Twittermap.

Twitter Desktop Tools (twit without opening a browser)

  1. Twhirl [http://twhirl.org/]
    A desktop client made in adobe air that runs on both Windows & Mac OSX.  A great tool that can speed up your tweets and keep you update with the new messages notifications. Apart from that it also converts long URL’s to short ones help you send you updates to Pownce and Jaiku, you can also post TwitPic and search Tweets as well. A great tool and ofcourse free of cost. But to run it you do need Adobe Air which is free as well. Twhirl is for those who are really into the Twitt game.
  2. Snitter [http://getsnitter.com/]
    Another client made for Twitter in Adobe Air, and ofcourse runs both in Win & Mac OSX. Snitter was one of the first clients that i used for twitter, a handy tool for your twitt updates. One of the most interesting feature was that it highlights messages sent to you via @ syntax (and makes a chirp) apart from that its packed with all basic twitt features does not support shortning of long URL’s or ability to post TwitPic but rest is all good for a basic Twitter users.

    TwitterFox as the name says a Firefox Browser plug-in that gives you the option to keep up with your tweets as well as direct private messages. All you have to do is click on the twitter logo and you can get an update on all your twitt’s
  2. Yoono – Twitter Add On for Internet Explorere
    I know still many people use Internet explorer for there regular browsing so we should always grab something for them as well.   1. TweetLater > As the name says tweet from the future, you can schedule your tweets to posted over a period of time. A good us you can schedule your tweets and see if you can follow them along.
  2. TwitterFeed > Convert your blog RSS feed to twitter a good tool let your friends and followers know that you posted a feed.
  3. LoudTwitter. > Now this is the opposite of TwitterFeed with twitter feed you feed your twitter with an RSS from your blog and with Loud Twitter you convert your twitts to a blog post.
  4. TwitterSearch > Search engine for Twitter, find what people are talking about what people are up to.
  5. TweetBeep > Google Alearts are for specific products or keywords you want to keep track and TweetBeep for specific keywords if someone tweets on it.
  6. TwitterLocal >> Find the locals who tweet
