Icon Finder collects web2.O icons from the internet and present them with the creative commons, GPL & LGPL licenses. All the icons are free to download and use, the size is quite good (12 x 12, 16 x 16, 22 x 22, 32 x 32, 48 x 48, 64 x 64 or 128 x 128) and is available in PNG transparent format. The benefit of icons in PNG format is that they have a transparent background and can be place on any art format. The PNG file can be opened in all design tools (photoshop, illustrator, fireworks, flash) and can also be used directly in a website but be aware (PNG Transparency has issues with IE6).
